Gourmet Highlights: A Night to Remember with Virginia Tech Football

This April, The Village Gourmet had the absolute pleasure of catering Virginia Tech's Football’s Annual Networking Night- an evening where tradition met connection, and where Hokie alumni and fans came together to celebrate community, legacy, and shared ambition. Held in the heart of Hokie Nation, this event was more than just a gathering- it was a chance to build new relationships, rekindle old ones, and strengthen the ties that make the Virginia Tech family so special.

To complement the energy and warmth of the evening, we crafted a menu designed to be both comforting and inviting. Guests enjoyed crispy chicken tenders with a triage of dipping sauces, savory falafel, and buttery, golden spanakopita- flavors that offered comfort and something a little unexpected. Our charcuterie spread featured fresh salami, turkey, and pepperoni, an impressive selection of cheeses, and vibrant, crisp vegetables that invited conversation and second helpings.

For refreshments, we served our signature sweet lemonade and sweet tea- simple, southern staples that brought a touch of nostalgia to every sip.
