At Village Gourmet, we believe every event should tell a story — and this past month, our team brought one to life straight from the roaring 1920s. The National Bank’s Tall Oaks Hall at the Village Center was transformed into a glittering speakeasy, filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Jazz Age.
Guests began their evening stepping through a charming faux flower shop — the perfect secret entrance to a night of hidden delights. Behind the blooms awaited a lively jazz club atmosphere, complete with the soft glow of candlelight, clinking glasses, and the hum of excitement in the air.

The Magic of the Evening
From the moment guests whispered the secret password, the night unfolded like a scene from Gatsby’s own soirée. Vintage cars lined the entryway, candy cigars and blackjack tables invited playful fun, and the champagne tower sparkled as live jazz filled the air.
But, as always, it was the food that brought the evening to life. Our chefs crafted a spread that blended sophistication with nostalgia — classic shrimp cocktail, a traditional carving station featuring perfectly roasted meats, indulgent cheesecake, and small bites that carried the spirit of the 1920s right to the table. Each dish was designed to complement the energy of the night, creating moments of pure delight and conversation.

Creating Experiences Worth Remembering
For this special donor appreciation event, every detail — from the themed lounges and flapper fashion to the warm hospitality — showcased what’s possible when imagination and craftsmanship come together.
At Village Gourmet, we’re proud to help transform our spaces into immersive experiences, whether it’s an intimate dinner, an elegant celebration, or a grand themed soirée. The Speakeasy Soirée was a beautiful example of how food, atmosphere, and community can combine to create something truly unforgettable.
To our friends and partners at Warm Hearth Village — thank you for letting us be part of such a meaningful evening. Here’s to many more magical nights shared around the table.
